Natalie Joos is a writer and designer who has spent the last 28 years in New York and Los Angeles building a career in fashion that spans a plethora or roles and skills…

Glenn O'Brien

Personal Assistant
Fresh off the boat from Belgium, and straight into one of New York's most prolific and fashionable writers' wood paneled office, I ran errands for Glenn and helped him launch his book 'Soapbox'. The best introduction anyone could have in the Big Apple.

Craig McDean

Studio Manager
I was Craig's first Studio Manager in New York. I assumed a diverse array of responsibilities in a time when photography was still analog. Think Polaroids, contact sheets, dark rooms and prints. From interfacing with high-profile figures like Anna Wintour, the late Carla Sozzani and even Madonna, to assisting in photo editing, model casting and all pre- and post-production processes I successfully navigated the delicate intricacies for both professional and personal aspects of Craig's life. We were all babies then, working hard, and playing harder. During my years at Craig's studio I met everyone who meant anything in the fashion industry and discovered my strengths.

Natalie Joos Casting

Casting Director
I ventured out on my own in September 2003. After a short stint in production, I realized that casting was my true passion. I quickly garnered a roster of high-end clients and photographers and worked on runway, editorial and advertising for 10 years. Some of the highlights of my career were Clinique, Rocawear, Phillip Lim, Hugo Boss, Mario Sorrenti, Paola Kudacki, V magazine and Chinese Vogue. Due to my success as a Blogger I gave up casting as a full-time profession in 2013.

Tales of Endearment

Blogger
Tales of Endearment came at a time when the 2008 financial crisis caught up with the fashion industry. Brands were taking all their business in-house and I was left without a (casting) job. I didn't want to twiddle my thumbs so I started a blog. It was a fairly new concept then, but gaining popularity. My focus was vintage. I posted stories about people that love vintage clothes and took my readers inside their homes. I also posted my own looks, a combination of vintage and contemporary pieces. These posts and my rise as a 'Street Style Star' laid the groundwork for what is now a $24B content creator industry across all social media platforms. Tales of Endearment quickly became a hit, which opened doors to many other opportunities, like styling, photography and writing.

Tales of Endearment book

A coffee table book about vintage and the extraordinary people who love it
As a blog, Tales of Endearment had become such a success that publishers were quickly offering to help me put together a book. The book is an extension of the website, with about 50 new talent that I photographed at home and the top 10 from the blog. It is sold at Barnes & Noble and on Amazon.
